Adina cordifolia (haridRAKa)

It is described in Madana pala Nighantu at first and followed by the descriptions in later Nighantus. A. cordifolia is also considered to be the source for Kadamba or Nrtya Kundala.

Botanical Description – It is a tree bearing yellow flowers. It is found in almost all the forests in India.

Major Chemical Constituents– Adifoline, Cordifoline, adinin, Cadambine, adicardin etc.

Part used– Stem bark

Dosage– Decoction 50-100ml.
