It is used in the for the Sodhana (curative) as well as Samana (palliative) therapies in Ayurveda. Its mainly used in the treatment of urolithiosis (Sikatameha).
Botanical Description – It is a annual herb which grows upto 1 m height and bears light yellow flowers. It is cultivated in most parts of India.
Major Chemical Constituents– genistein, dalbergioidin, phase-collidin from seeds.
Dolichin A & B from leaves.
Contraindications– Kuluttha should not be used while using Üilajit.
Part Used– Seeds.
Dosage– Powder 3-6 g., decoction 50-100 ml.
