Usually it is described along with Mudgaparni in the Ayurvedic literature. They are together called as Surpaparni dvaya. Thakur Balvant Singh reported that a wild variety of Masha-like plant was found growing in Amarkantaka hills of M.P. which is locally called Vanauradi. Some consider Kambhoji as the synonym of Mashaparni.
Botanical Description – It is a procumbent creeper bearing small white flowers. It is found almost all over India.
Part Used– Root, whole plant.
Dosage– Decoction 50-100 ml; Powder 3-6 g.
