Paspalum scrobiculatum (KODRAVA)

Kodrava is described repeatedly in various context by brhat trayi.  Susruta quoted a variety of kodrava which causes narcotic effect – ‘Madana Kodrava’ (S.S.Ci.17/37).  Koradusa is another synonym for kodrava.  Actually, uddala is another variety of kodrava which is named as vanakodrava.

Botanical description – Found in the wild or under cultivation throughout the hotter parts of India

Part used –  whole plant.

Uses – Paste of the plant is applied over the scorpion-sting.
